Dr. Joshua Bevans
Dr. Joshua Bevans was born in Calgary Alberta Canada and moved to the Gilbert area in the summer of 1995. He attended all three years of high school at Highland High School, where he spent most of his extracurricular time in basketball and volleyball. After high school he went to Eastern Arizona College for a year on a basketball scholarship. He then took a two year hiatus from school to serve a mission for the LDS church in the Italy Padova mission.
When he returned he began doing all of his prerequisites for dental school at ASU, which was interrupted by a small bout with cancer. In that time frame at ASU Dr. Bevans married his incredibly sweet and adorable best friend Chelsea Neilson and a few years later had their first daughter Taeler, who is now four years old. Dr. Bevans was accepted to the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, a school well known for producing world class clinicians.
He lived in San Rafael, California for the three years while attending dental school. In his last year of school he and his wife had their second daughter Rylee, who is just over a year old. Dr. Bevans spent a lot of time volunteering for the Give Kids a Smile program, and Project Homeless Connect where he was able to reach out and help the less fortunate and be a leader in the community.
He is now eager to learn even more from his colleagues and is dedicated to continually sharpening his skills and knowledge as a dentist. Most of those who have known him over the years describe him as a “gentle giant” and a “big teddy bear”. You will quickly see that Dr. Bevans is very easy going, genuinely sincere and is always looking to help his patients out in any way possible. |
